General Terms & Conditions

We are pleased that you have chosen our services and thank you for your confidence in us. Please read the following General Contract and Travel Conditions carefully

Taste Tours – Tastings SASU (Siret 97976786000013, Code NAF/APE 9329Z)

These General Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern the contractual relationship between you (the “Customer” or “you”) and Taste Tours when you book one of our tour packages or other travel services (together the “Services”).

1. Scope

1.1. Taste Tours is a French tour operator offering original, tailor-made tour packages to the general public.
1.2. These Terms distinguish between:
 (a) Package tours: trips arranged by us that include transport + accommodation (or another tourism service) for a total price; and either last at least 24 hours or include an overnight stay; and
 (b) Other travel services: tours or services offered by us that do not meet the definition of a full package.
1.3. Taste Tours may promote services provided by third-party tour operators, incorporate those services in our own packages, or connect you directly with third-party service-providers.
1.4. These Terms apply to all bookings and services unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing.

2. Booking and Conclusion of Contract

2.1. A contract between you and Taste Tours is concluded once we have accepted your booking in writing (by letter, e-mail, or our website booking form) and we have received any required deposit.
2.2. The booking confirmation will specify the Services included, tour dates, price and any conditions.
2.3. Once the contract is concluded, you agree to comply with these Terms and any other instructions we provide (including those of service providers).

3. Payment Terms

3.1. For package tours, full payment is generally required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.
3.2. For tailor-made tours, a deposit (typically 30% of the estimated cost) is payable to initiate planning and secure bookings on your behalf. We will not commence detailed arrangements until the deposit is paid.
3.3. If we act as intermediary, you may be required to pay vendors directly under their own terms.
3.4. Outstanding balances must be paid by such date as indicated in your confirmation. Failure to pay may result in cancellation of your booking.

4. Cancellation and Amendment by the Customer

4.1. If you cancel your booking, the following cancellation charges apply (unless otherwise agreed in writing):
 (a) Cancellations made more than 90 days before the tour start date: the deposit is non-refundable but may, at our discretion, be used as credit for another tour within 12 months (subject to availability).
 (b) Cancellations made between 90 days and 30 days before the tour start date: 50% of the total tour price is payable (or 50% of the amount already paid is retained) unless otherwise agreed.
 (c) Cancellations made less than 30 days before tour start: 100% of the total tour price is payable.
4.2. The above cancellation charges apply regardless of reason for cancellation (including illness, accident or other personal circumstances). We strongly recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance to cover cancellation risks.
4.3. If you are unable to travel, you may appoint a replacement person, provided we are notified in writing in good time, the replacement meets all contractual requirements, and any additional costs incurred by us or service providers are paid by you.
4.4. Amendments to your booking (for example change of date, number of persons or services) will only be accepted at our discretion and may incur additional fees.

5. Alteration or Cancellation by Taste Tours

5.1. We reserve the right to make changes to the tour programme prior to departure. In the event of a significant alteration, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and offer you the choice of either (a) accepting the revised programme, or (b) withdrawing from the tour with a full refund of payments made (less an administrative fee of €100).
5.2. If we cancel the tour before departure, you will receive a full refund of all payments you have made. No further compensation will be payable.
5.3. If due to our fault the Services provided are of lesser standard than advertised, we will refund you an appropriate portion of the price reflecting the reduction in value.

6. Complaints

6.1. If during the tour you suffer any shortcoming of the services provided (e.g., hotel, transport, guide), you must notify the relevant service provider immediately and allow them a reasonable time to remedy the situation.
6.2. If the problem is not resolved on site, you must send a written complaint to Taste Tours within 30 days after the tour end date, providing full details of your claim (including relevant receipts).
6.3. If you fail to notify the service provider on site or send your complaint within the required time, your rights may be significantly reduced or lost.

7. Liability

7.1. Our liability to you is governed by French law and subject to the following:
 (a) We are liable for death, personal injury or illness of a traveller where caused by our negligence or that of our service providers.
 (b) For other losses arising from our negligence (or that of our service providers), our liability is limited to twice the cost of the package tour (unless the loss was caused deliberately or by gross negligence).
7.2. We exclude liability for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of enjoyment, travel disruption, or personal expenditure incurred due to tour changes.
7.3. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for any other liability which cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Insurance

We strongly recommend that you take out comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellation, trip interruption, personal injury, loss of baggage and other material losses. It is your responsibility to ensure you are adequately covered.

9. Applicable Law, Jurisdiction and Dispute Resolution

9.1. These Terms, and any contract between you and Taste Tours, are governed by French law.
9.2. The courts of Paris (France) shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to disputes, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
9.3. Prior to commencing legal proceedings, you may contact the independent entity **Médiation Tourisme Voyage (BP 80303 – 75823 Paris Cedex 17) to explore mediation.

10. Additional Provisions

10.1. The French version of these Terms shall prevail in case of any conflict with translated versions.
10.2. If any provision of these Terms is declared invalid, illegal or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
10.3. These Terms form the entire agreement between you and Taste Tours relating to your booking, superseding any prior communications, proposals or representations.
