Day-by-Day Description and What is Included

Tradition, innovation and exclusive private visits

The best rieslings in the world, centuries old castles, historic towns, dramatically sloping vineyards, winding rivers and stunningly beautiful villages distinguish the vineyard regions of the Rhine, and the Mosel in Germany and the picturesque landsapes of Alsace. Join us for the best-of-the-best as elegant accommodations combine with fine dining and the who's who of German and Alsacian wines.

Rhine, Mosel & Alsace
From cosmopolitan Frankfurt through the sensational vineyards of the Rhine and the Mosel, we capture the best of German wining and dining before exploring Alsace, one of France's most enchanting vineyard regions.

Domains & Vineyards

Our time being limited, we have included only the best-of-the-best. Among the domains to visit, we have...

In Germany: Staatsweingut at Kloster Eberbach, Robert Weil, Weingut Johan Schafer, Enrich Schonleber, Weingut Joh. Jos. Prum, Weingut Dr Loosen, Fritz Haag and Maximin Grünhaus von Schubert.

In Alsace: Marc Kreydenweiss, Domaine Ostertag, Marcel Deiss, Marc Tempé, Bott Geyl, Zind Humbrecht, Pierre Frick, Zusslin, Josmeyer and surprise visits on our return to Paris through the Côte d'Or and Chablis in Burgundy.
All of the domains we will visit work organically and biodynamically to create living wines that reflect terroir and offer real taste.
Visits & Attractions

Though the vineyards are the main focus of this tour, the Rhine and the Mosel in Germany also offer stunning landscapes, quaint villages and historic castles. In Alsace, the wine route features some of France's prettiest villages, while the rugged beauty of the Vosges mountains includes the delights of farm-fresh produce in traditional 'fermes auberges'. Other sites include Strasbourg, the capital of Europe, Colmar and the Mount Sainte-Odile.

This tour, accompanied by both a star winemaker (the only American to have ever made 2 grand cru classé French wines) and a tour manager and a long time resident of France with 30 years of vineyard experience and personal connections to the best vineyards, offers exclusive entrances and insights into the best-of-the-best of the German and Alsacian  vineyards.
Meals and Michelin stars
All meals are included and range from 'winstub' lunches and country bistros to six dinners in 1, 2 and 3-star Michelin-rated restaurants.
Itinerary & Accommodations

All accommodations are in 4-star hotels and Relais & Châteaux properties, combining historical settings with refinement and elegance.

Starting in Frankfurt with a walking tour of the old town, we explore the vineyards of the Rhine and Mosel in a 9-seat luxury minibus. Exclusive private visits to the top German wineries in these regions are complemented by fine dining and vintage wines. As we travel South to Alsace, we stop to visit the historic university town of Heidelberg, passing through Mannheim, Ettlingen and Baden Baden en route to Strasbourg. In Alsace, in addition to a stellar cast of wine-makers, we visit Haut Koenigsberg, the Vosges, the picturesque villages of Riquewirh, Kaysersberg, Ammerschwihr, Colmar and Ribeauvillé and dine in the 3-star Michelin restaurant l'Auberge de l'Ill. On the return to Paris, we spend a night in Burgundy with surprise wine tastings in the Côte d'Or and Chablis.
