Vineyards, rolling green landscapes around a world heritage site
St-Emilion is the quintessential wine village as well as being one of the most beautiful. Situated on a rise and surrounded by some of the most prestigious vineyards in the world, it is also one of France’s best-preserved medieval cities and is a heritage UNESCO site. Green rolling countryside with stately châteaux leave the wine lover with a daunting choice of vistas and activities.



Saint-Emilion
Of all the Bordeaux wine regions, Saint-Émilion boasts the greatest concentration of biodynamic and organic vineyards. The lush green of the gently rolling countryside and the quiet beauty of the vineyard roads are best enjoyed on the leisurely pace of a bicycle. This 4-day cycling tour includes several prestigious wine visits as well as a comprehensive tour of Saint-Émilion itself.
Domains & Vineyards
Some of the world's most renowned vineyards are within easy reach of Saint Emilion. The Premier Grand Cru Classé wines such as Château Ausone, Château Cheval Blanc, Château Pavie and Château Angelus are even within walking distance. In nearby Pomerol, Château Petrus is considered by many to be one of the world's greatest red wines. Other distinguished properties include Château Soutard, Château Troplong Mondot, Château La Magdelaine, Château Figeac, Château Fonroque, Château Guadet and Château l'Evangile.
Accommodations & bikes
In order to meet different budgets and tastes, we offer several options ranging from independent touring with campsite or hotel accommodations to an exceptionally affordable guided version. These can also include round-trip TGV train transfers from Paris. There is a good range of hotels in Saint-Emilion providing easy access to the routes laid out for each day's cycling and bike rentals, which are included, are through the Office du Tourisme or the campsite.
Guided version
The guided version, accompanied by a wine educator and avid cyclist who knows the region intimately, offers exclusive entrances to domains that are generally closed to the public and so offers a more in-depth wine experience.
The guided version requires a minimum of 8 participants and is available upon request (minimum 4 month lead-in time)

Four routes
Saint-Emilion is located amidst a sea of vines with hamlets and villages dotted about here and there. Pomerol, Saint Laurent des Combes, Saint-Christophe des Bardes, Saint-Sulpice de Faleyrens, Branne, Montagne Saint-Emilion are among the nearby villages we can visit. Each day there is a different route that takes you through the vineyards along quiet country roads and village lanes. These include: The Banks of the Dordogne, The Grands Crus, Vines and Wines and Orientation around Saint-Emilion, which also includes a guided walking tour of the town.
